About The Hall

Coxley Memorial Hall is a cherished charity dedicated to providing and maintaining a village hall for the residents of Coxley and the surrounding neighbourhood. The hall serves as a lasting tribute to the brave individuals from Coxley and its vicinity who lost their lives during the 1914-18 War.

Situated in the idyllic village of Coxley, nestled between Wells and Glastonbury on the A39,

Coxley Memorial Hall offers a versatile venue suitable for gatherings of varying sizes, from intimate meetings to vibrant social events. With ample car parking and comprehensive disabled access, the hall ensures convenience and inclusivity for all visitors.

The hall boasts an array of amenities, including a spacious main hall capable of accommodating up to 120 people, as well as a smaller meeting room designed for gatherings of up to 30 individuals. Additionally, a well-equipped kitchen with crockery, a dishwasher, two ovens, and a hob caters to the culinary needs of events held within the premises.

Recognising the importance of music, Coxley Memorial Hall holds a PRS music license, allowing for the harmonious ambiance that enhances any occasion. Furthermore, the hall features a stage, providing a platform for performances and presentations. Its commitment to excellence is exemplified by the Hallmark 1 standard it has been awarded.

Yes, our charity registration number is 203274.

Go to the BOOKINGS page. The Hallmaster system should be able to take your booking request.

There are 2 full-sized electric ovens, a ceramic hob, a microwave, kettles and hot water urn, two full-sized sinks, a fridge, a good selection of chopping boards, utensils etc.

We have crockery and cutlery for at least 50 people. The use of this is included in hall hire fees.

We have glassware that is also included in the hire fee.

The hall does not have a Premises License available for the selling of alcohol.

Yes, we have Truspeed fibre broadband that is available for hall users.

No. Any PA system requirements should be provided by the hall user.

There is a fixed stage at the centre of the hall. Any lighting requirements should be provided by the hall user.

The main hall only has ceiling height lighting.

The adjoining hall car park can accommodate up to 30 cars. The car park is well-lit.

Bouncy castles and other child’s play equipment are permitted in the main hall as long as they are suitable for indoor use. Please remember that you are responsible for the safety of the children using the play equipment and must provide evidence to the Coxley Memorial Hall Trustees that appropriate public liability insurance is in place if requested. 

On Mondays to Fridays the hall must be cleared by 11.00pm.

On Saturdays this is extended to 12.00 midnight. Sunday events must finish by 10.00pm.

Yes. It is located in the kitchen. There is a defibrillator on the outside wall of the hall.

Yes. There is ramped access into the main hall at the front of the building, and access via the rear of the building into the meeting room. The doors into the hall and between the rooms in the Hall building are wide enough for a wheelchair to go through easily. There is a large disabled toilet which is separate from the Ladies’, and Gents’ facilities.

Yes, the hall has a portable induction hearing loop system.

There is ramped access to the hall, and steps that have white edging. The doors are clearly contrasted from the walls. Lighting is good, including in the car park.
